Hi all! Anyone in UK replaced their plug caps lately? I have one that's open cct so tried my local Yamaha dealer The alleged original one at about £60 each and they appear different to mine They couldn't find a likely replacement after going through all the catalogues, I got some on approval but found them too short They are advertised on ebay but dubious about fit BTW its not the resistor, oc measured without resistor and spring etc
Regards

Re: Plug caps
They look a lot like standard NGK XD05F caps to me, but with slightly different rubber bits that could surely be transplanted to the new ones. Strangely I can't find any confirmation on this, I would've expected it to be a fairly common question with all the TDMs sold over the years. My only worry from the pictures is that the elbow has too much of a bend so the lead rubs or won't quite bend enough, you might have to be the guinea pig on this.
If you get desperate I remember some coil-on-plug/stick coils from an R6 would fit but of course it comes with some hackery.
