To answer your question Dicky...
Once you made me aware and a little research...No...
But paid $1 for the oil cooler before getting an understanding on the principals, so no real loss.
Was only a matter of drilling and taping a thread into the rear of the sump to mount the oil temp sender that came with the Koso dash so no real outlay and only proved what you pointed out.

Cheers for the feed back guys, the only reason why the rad leaked is with it being an r6 rad it had an extra pipe on the bottom left and two smaller nozzles top right so I gave it to a welder to block them up, unfortunately it leaked through the weld. And I am not sure where it came from, but got it in a good deal with a load of engine parts I was after. So to be honest I couldn't say no to it, it's been sitting in the garage for about 12 months !!!.... But original rad is in a bit of a mess, and I felt it was time to change the coolant.
I've been running without a fan for quite a while now, to make sure, but previously I've never had any issues myself with overheating, and the fan rarely ever kicks in. So think i may not even bother with a fan, but will see how thing go for now

Wow.. Your bike looks really nice, phil108.
A bit of orange on the fairing and it'd be perfect!
Wherever you go, there you are.

thats nice and tidy, with a bit of paint it will look spiff
as you can weld, it is probably worthwhile reinforcing the bracket for the pillion pegs/exhaust hangers
there are a bit of a week spot and have broken off on a few TRXs, as seen here

Actually I can't weld!!!! It's made of a Rentec grab rail turned upside-down and aluminium rods drilled, bent and threaded where needed. Tbh it's a bodge of whatever I had in the man cave

I am doing exactly the same on my bike! I was considering box section alluminium, never thought about just bending some rod!
nice one!
