Thanks Sarg, what about the textured material you did the seats and bum pad in? It looks a bit like that TriboSeat material? Would I be right?

It may sound a little weird, but the weight is not a huge issue for me. I like the bike and enjoy riding it. Ringing the last inch of acceleration out of it is not my priority. The weight saving would help with handling I guess, but I bet I could ride it better and go faster anyway. I have an FJR1300 too. You should feel the weight of those pipes :!:

Also money spent is an issue. I have 2 bikes and I could spend some money or just go silly and spend heaps on both, so I ruled the line at after market pipes. I think I would rather spend the money on the forks. before lighter pipes.

Motorcycle Exhaust Professionals used to advertise in AMCN although i haven't seen an ad for a few months.Noel from M.E.P did my 2 into 1 as well,he does nice work :wink:

When I got the bike the seat covering was in good order but as slippery as hell.

I got that from a guy that does bike seats. It is used on the mx seats. Bloody perfect. Cost 10 bucks :!:

Anyone seeing the comon thread now :?: Yep, tight as a fishes. :wink:

$10 :shock: that's a good price!! Gonna cost me £50-60 ($130+) here + postage :shock: Be cheaper to send it over to Oz :shock:

You have to remember this was a chance thing only. Just went to this Upholsterer, asked if he had fabric, he brought this out and I said "comon man, I'll give you 10 bucks for it". I guess he was hungry? It was lunch time. :roll:

I did the covering by the way.

:D Thought you had cut the back down ! Get rid of all the excess under the plate holder and rear indicators, did that to mine over 2 years ago.
