My "TFX"

Post by interceptor75 » Wed Aug 13, 2014 5:22 pm

Hi, i.would like to show the mods taht I made on my bike.

First of all, the bike in almost original condition with aftermarket mirrors, black windscreen and Venom cans.

Image

The first mod is a "superbike kit" with top yoke and a 28mm handlebar (don't mind the chrome mirror...).

Image

Then I've tried to install fiberglass front and rear fairings.

Image

I've chosen the 916 rear fairing cause its shape allow to uncut the rear frame.

The front fairing it's a FZ1 Fazer one, I'll chose it cause I want a Yamaha fairing for the front one and it allow me to use the superbike handlebar.

So I called the bike T.F.X.: Trx-Fazer-X (cross).

As you can see, I replaced the front fender with a carbon fiber one taken from a R6.

And now the front fairing with headlight and windscreen:

I've chosen a "left side" headlamp cause a want to give an endurance style.

in the next 4 picture there are front and rear wheels painted with a white spray film (like FOLIATEC)

and now the bike almost finished:

I'll put on some grey stripes on the rear fairing and some Yamaha's stickers (logo) on tank sides and a little one on the red part of the windscreen.

I hope you will enjoy it.

See you soon!

Looks really nice!

I had my doubts in the early photos when the fairing was black & the tail was white etc but it looks great
now it's all finished - well done!
Once you've had black - you'll never go back!

Yeah at first I thought it looked a bit "iffy" too, but the end result looks OUTSTANDING!
Been looking at something like that for my bike, so I think I might go down the 916 route too
