Trx custom

Post by Leev8vk » Sun Jul 27, 2014 2:01 pm

Not sure if this has worked, never uploaded photos. Here are some progress photos.
Front end sorted, fair amount of work to fix. Rear end sorted, new sprocket made to align rear end, 520 conversion done, sprockets lined up.
Cbr600rr fairings trial fitted, rear end cut off. 2 into 1 to go on (thanks to Alex).
A lot of little stuff to go but really happy with it and pumped to get it on the road!
Can someone let me know if pics worked???!!

I admire your work, and if you are happy with it that's what counts, but to me it just looks like a CBR600 now. :(

It has a gsxr1000 front end, aprillia rsv1000 rear end and cosmetically yeah it looks like a cbr600rr but quite frankly the standard trx (sorry to the purists) looks poxy and old.

That's one of the great things about the TRX,
it's such a versitile bike and it's open to so many different styles and modifications.

I recognized your bike down at Dave Kelletts last month

I think many feel the same when you look at how many carry R1/6 rear ends. To me the standard rex looks classic, and i like that. Be a boreing old world if we all liked the same things. The running gear on yours looks great, and like i said i admire your work =D>

How you going to paint it - that's the question? classic Yam speed block? Malboro Yam like Honk's - That will pull it all together

Really unsure on colours. I've been contemplating many different styles. Retro Yamaha yellow and black, retro yamaha white, red and black or filling all noticeable engine covers and just confusing everyone and leave everyone guessing as to what it is.
