100/80w headlight
Has anyone had any problems with the lens getting too hot when fitting a 100/80 headlight bulb?

Re: 100/80w headlight
Thanks for the responses guys - I just found a 100/80 in my garage I forgot I had - I'll shove it in - the wiring looks up to it by modern vehicle standards

Is that with a relay or straight off the std wiring loom?vicar wrote:Got a 130/90 in mine its been in for more than a year and I run with the lights on all of the time.

My bike maybe a dinosaur but it still has some bite & has a mighty roar.

Re: 100/80w headlight
Good point Kenny - I was wondering about the switch handling that extra current...................easy enough to wire a relay into the circuit before the handlebar switch. I was interested to any effect the heat might have on the lens

Re: 100/80w headlight
My bike has had a 130/90 in it since I got it about 2 1/2 years ago with no problems. Mine is an Aussie model with hard wired lights so it is always on. Cheers Mark
