I don't like to gloat, but.....

Post by Excalibre » Sat Dec 07, 2013 12:15 pm

Picked up a real gem a couple of days ago :D
Sold locally, 2001 model, one owner, full history, not crashed, only 14,000km.

100% original, exactly as it came off the showroom floor, even still has the original tyres, dorky reflector, sprockets/chain etc!

I'm a bit torn with this one, I think I'll keep it original, pamper it and ride it occasionally to rally's etc. My wonderful wife has even said I can keep it in the lounge room as a kind of engineering sculpture  , what a gal!

The seller had a fair bit of interest (not surprisingly), so I hope I haven't disappointed any forum members by getting in first.

I have a modified TRX that I use as a daily rider and for track days etc. so I'm very lucky to have the best of both worlds.

Gloat over

Hungryjack has a great origional example as well.,but one which still sports the origional tyres would take the top spot.

I just asked her, seems it's a one time deal. Fair enough.

My 97 model with 5000 miles still has the original tyres....
I could be the laziest man on earth, I just can't be arsed to find out.

I'm impressed :notworthy:
On closer inspection I believe my rear tyre has been replaced so I concede defeat in the contest for the most virginal TRX.

And the original oil........

Only joking, to be fair the tyres get a proper inpection & appear to be fine, no cracking or anything, it's always garaged & up on paddock stands over winter, maybe that helps.

But, yeah, they do need throwing, maybe a museum will want them. [-(
