Just a quick question....is there any difference between '01' r 1 forks and '02' r1 forks?
Apparently the '01' forks are 'first generation' so I assume that the '02' forks would be second, or is that just referring to the bike overall and the forks are exactly the same. They are both 'blue-spot' forks and calipers so I would assume they would be the same item.
Thanks.

Understeer - when you hit the fence with the front of the bike.
Oversteer - when you hit the fence with the rear of the bike.
Horsepower - how fast you hit the fence.
Torque - how far you take the fence with you.

Re: '01' vs '02' r1 forks
G'day Schmiffee, 99-01 are 1st gen .02-03 are 2nd gen. 1st gen are slightly longer units and 2nd gen are full cartridge internals apparently. I'm sure someone else will be along to clarify shortly.
Congrats on the marriage btw.
