I blame it on the tools.
Using a friends MIG as the tig is broken.
They'll clean and the pictures make em look a lot worse than in reality.

Howdy.
Over Christmas break I have been concentrating on making the triple clamps for the build.
Had to wait for various tooling to turn up, but once I got the rotary table, boring head and slitting cutter I was able to make a start.

Slowly is right. I got the shock back but he still left the reservoir in the wrong place. So I am going to have to send it back to Adelaide again. FFS.

Hi knumbnutz, I see you going together the clamps anodised. Are you getting it done locally? I want to get a set of r1 forks anodised black.

Used them before. Good, well priced.

Front end on, rear shock fully mounted. Had to shape down a 60x60x80mm block of aluminium for the top shock mount and just used 12mm plate underneath.
Works a treat.
Triple clamps came up beautiful after anodising. Happy with that.

making the shock mount 60mm x 60mm x 100mm billet takes a while to machine down.

Shock mount at the linkage. Its the same geometry as the Triumph.

Looks about right now, bit taller

Just got to cut off the old radiator mounts and then reweld in place and then the frame is done and can be painted.
