!!EMERGENCY!! - Where has my OIL gone?!
Guys,
Just a quickie... i've just dropped the oil out of the bike to do a oil & filter change (first since i've owned the bike), and it hasn't come upto even the 1L mark in the drain tub... i understand that normal capacity is 4.2L... have i drained the oil properly? or have i missed a drain for the oil tank? i removed the sump plug, and the oil filter cover... is there something else?

you need to remove the drain plug on the left of the bike ,,the oil filter cover,, and at the back of that is the drain plug for the oil tank ,,download the manual its all in there ,,

When one of you guys has time ... can you do an "oil change" thread in here ... including pictures and a step by step "how to"
I know it's covered in the manual, but I think it would be useful to have here for easy reference

Best to measure how much comes out, then put the same amount of "new" in. That way you are guaranteed not to overfill initially.
Always check oil level immediately after a warm up ride. Never before starting.

I often thought about doing something like that. Maybe next oil change....Jak wrote:When one of you guys has time ... can you do an "oil change" thread in here ... including pictures and a step by step "how to"
