Progress at the moment is just getting all the parts together.
So far -
Disassembly of bike
Single sided swingarm and 8spoke wheel
FCR41mm Flat slides
rubbers for carbs
R1 forks, 6pot calipers
YZF750 triple clamps
Clipons

Still looking for/deciding on
rear shock
rear tail unit - probably going to replace it with 1098 ducati subframe or maybe just small seat /duck tail style custom fibreglass unit
headlight

Hi Alex,
I found a 8spoke mag off a 91 model 5.5inch with a 180/55 on it, in good nick too, for $365 so I have that now. It's in a light gold colour.
Just working on a shock and tail section now. If the motor is ok, then all I'll have to get is speedo headlight and a couple of small bits. Fingers crossed
Cheers Neil

Hi guys, so I went to the Shed today and stripped the old wheels to lighten them and send in the post.
Then I finally mustered up the courage to drain the sump and check out the oil. Phew! Looks good, oldish and no sign of bits or half a bottom end. That is really pleasing.
So I got back into it and stripped off the pipes and some bits off the bike.
I'll post some pictures later.
Regards Neil

Forgetting the colour scheme for the moment as it will be black and gold (no green), i have come up with a render which hopefully will be close to the final bike.

Almost all the parts are on the way, including a 1098 tail section and seat as per image - not sure whether it will fit, but when it gets here i'll be able to measure and find out.
I have a custom Hyperpro shock being made. I have also checked the swingarm and will need to machine it down about 20mm in width, so that will be joyful ,not.

very nice, just add one of these belly pans in a colour to match the tank and it will be awesome

thanks Paul,
I will probably keep it naked and I am not sure a belly pan will fit as I may still do the very curved version headers like on the domiracer, we'll see.
It certainly looks the part on a faired bike !

Not really clear from that picture but it sort of boxes in the engine as a mirror of the tank.

I will see if I have a picture without the fairing to better demonstrate

I wont say progress is swift, but things are at least happening.
I have removed the swingarm, shock and pipes after this pic was taken.

I have a whole bunch of stuff here ready to go on the bike, including a rear subframe from a 1098 ducati (hopefully i can make it fit) with a seat and carbon fiber rear tail unit.
I bought a Milling machine today so I am going to make my triple clamp once my house is built and I have somewhere to use it.....

A couple of things that I want to ask, has anyone put on a curved R6 radiator ?
They look very similar in size and the pipes go in the same places and new they are only $100AUD.

regards Neil
