TRX's in USA

Post by pbear62 » Fri Jan 15, 2010 1:42 pm

Hi guys & girls, I've been on here for a while now & can't remember seeing any postings etc from TRX owners in the US. (I may be wrong?)Does anyone know whether they got them over there or not?

I've spoken to a few parts suppliers in the past from the US. Most of them have not even heard of the TRX

A guy in Florida had one a few years ago, but he sold it AFIAK. He had an impressive collection of bikes in a purpose built, air-conditioned "facility".
Rubber side down, Red side up is my preferred riding style.

Just imagine the aftermarket possibilities if it had been released there.

There's at least one!!

When I put my TRX on ebay I had an e-mail from a guy in California who was interested in buying it.

After a bit of negotiation he ended up buying it and it was collected by a mate of his in the UK.

The guy paid me £900 for the bike and then was going to spend another £700 to ship it out to the States!!

Takes all sorts I suppose.
It's all good fun till the pain sets in!

Make that 3 (or 4)?

1. The unit AHTHUD sold to California.
2. A red unit in that was in New York.
3 /4. I'm the new owner of a blue (previously black) unit that was in Florida. I'm tempted to say it is the unit Red Rex mentioned but there's no way this one was kept in a climate controlled space.

2 & mine can be seen here: http://raresportbikesforsale.com/?s=trx ... mit=Search

Anyone else?

Hey @racilej....New York here (Long Island to be precise)

I doubt there's a handful of TRX in the US....shame on Yamaha for not releasing in USA. The perfect stablemate for my 900SS/SP and SS800.

Guess that means California needs to come to the East Coast if we get together...

Planning to attend the Gathering of the Nortons @ Washington's Crossing, Pa on 28 April. See http://www.dvnr.org/ Last time I was there my TRX created a small stir. Two would probably blow some minds.... PM me if you need more info.
