It's nice to see a few more manufacturers finding there way into the top 10 in Moto GP this season.
Honda and Yamaha's domination since 2011 may soon come to an end with Ducati coming on strong and Suzuki being competitive once again.
The KTM's and Aprillia's have been improving all season too and shaking it with the best.
Last weeks race at PHILLIP Is allowed for them all to shine and I really look forward to next years championship.

Too much politics. Remember that every team rides with electronic and tires made for Ducati. The more I wonder what ktm shows up. And the guys from tech3. noticeable.

all racing has rules and regulations. I don't see a problem with setting the rules to make competitive racing.

Sure, that's superbike ssp stock sport. What is the class for prototypes? They are all the same. Sorry about that.

That was 1 of Casey Stoners arguments 5yr ago as he could see the direction they where heading in way back then with the factory Honda and Yamaha domineering in the class.
But he still managed a world tittle on a Ducati before they struggled financially.
Suzuki pulled out and the privateers and satalite teams struggled.
So the championship points where always between the half dozen factory riders.
Now they have made it cheaper and more compeditave once again which makes for good racing and the focus on development is being pushed more towards alternative power motorcycles like electric.
Seems like a natural progression than the " I remember back in 42 in the trenches" It's good to reflect but I can also see a number of those track records that stood for the last 8 hrs being broken by today's Moto GP riders.
Either way you look at it the competition has been excellent with great battles between so many teams and riders. Including that old dog Rossi and it's nice to see some have taken on his own aggressive style to give him a taste of his own medicine. As long as they don't let their ambition out weigh their talent and that has proved the case with the battles this year.
Good healthy racing with aggression and antisipation balancing things out to keep all upright.

I hadn't watched a MotoGP race for longer than I can remember, and I thought that the Aus GP was a great race.
There was real racing, real excitement. The wrong guy won, but that didn't take away from the spectacle.
I may pay closer attention next season.

This year has seen so much good racing - there's no bullshit when the flag drops, these guys are out there to win. So many races have had me on the edge of the seat. Makes all other forms of motor sport look pretty tame. Used to be an F1 fan, starting back in the turbo and ground-effects era, but by feck is that boring these days. The formula seems not to be over-managed and the riders are left to do their own thing: if you're Lorenzo, you can even ignore team orders! Dicky, PI was great, but there were plenty of other races this year that you would have enjoyed! Bring on 2018!

Definately Dave.. Your right about quite a few races this season that where good battles till the checkered flag in both wet and dry conditions.
