Ignitech wiring issue

Post by adon996 » Fri Jun 12, 2020 8:34 pm

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone would be kind enough to take a look at which colour wires go in which pin of the ignitech ecu?
I have wired in a Ignitech unit and suspect I may have a wire ina wrong place.
The wiring diagram they sent had a couple of colours i havent got so had to try and suss it out but now i have a perminant neutral light on and the quickshifter set up doesnt work/activate.
I think it might be the light green wire is part of the problem...which is in pin 3 at the moment, cant figure out where it should go.

If anyone can help I would most appreciate.

I bought my Ignitech including a wire loom from ignitech to original-ECU-compatible. You don't have that part?
Is that what you mean?

Yeah I never got the extra wiring so have had to make one up.
Managed to sort it, I had a green wire in pin location 3 and needed it in 19..now my neutral light works correctly and I have a working quickshifter. :D

Can anyone confirm who has a igntech installed where the mint green wire on the original trx850 loom, which number pin it goes to in the igntech connector?
I'm not sure I have mine right...quickshifter stopped working again so something isn't right...

Thank you Tarwetijger,
yes i had found that but it doesn't list a green wire that i have on my bike (which going by Haynes manual goes to a relay and neutral light to ECU)
They show a Blue/Red wire that i dont have So i have been assuming as that i should use the green in place of the Blue/Red that they list..but i might be wrong and just wanted clarification.

Sorry to be a pain..Will look forward to getting it right and trying it up the road!
On another quick note..Quickshifter earth, do you earth to the bike or to pin 14 as i already have a earth wire going to pin 14?

Thanks

Earth to bike is okay if my memory doesn't let me down.

Will have a look later.

If you pass me your e-mail address I will send you some pictures of the wiring (with Ignitech loom).
