Swingarm lateral movement.
Fitting a yzf750 swingarm that was on another TRX and there is lateral movement, about 10mm when it's bolted onto the subframe which it fits into perfectly. Am I missing something obvious here ? Just doesn't seem right. Any help appreciated thanks.

Re: Swingarm lateral movement.
The needle bearings were never taken out. The movement is side to side along the length of the pivot.

Re: Swingarm lateral movement.
Sounds like you are missing end caps on the swing arm. Still, 10 mm is a lot...

Seem to remember spacers inside the end caps maybe. Think I looked at exploded diagrams at local bike shop n ordered them. Cheers, Andy.

End caps are on, swingarm fits into the subframe as it should. I must be missing something obvious......

Re: Swingarm lateral movement.
Just a note in case you are looking at the parts manual or online parts finder...
The part number for the swing arm pivot shaft is 3GM-22141-01.
Both the manual and the online parts finder show the rear axle part number 3BN-25381-00 instead.
Although they share the same pivot shaft, the parts list for the YZF swingarm shows two shims (3XV-22127-00, #4 on the diagram) that are not part of the TRX setup, so maybe these are the parts you are looking for.

Re: Swingarm lateral movement.
A bit late but I do remember the YZF swingarm had spacers fitted were the original TRX one hadn't. They were located under the end caps if I recall correctly.
