How can I ket the rear seat off when the key lock has seized please? I need to get the battery off.

If the inner side of the rear fender has a recess for a U-lock, you can get it off from the outside.
Than you have a hole to put a screwdriver or something through to flick the lock open.

Have you tried pushing down on the pillion seat while turning the key ???

I took minces advice a number of yrs ago and placed a cable tie on the lock and tucked the tail of the cable tie just under the side of the rear section
Saved me 2 times now when misplaced the keys. Just reach under between the tail section and under tray and grabbed it with a pair of needle nose pliers and pull to unlock...
