use diesel instead of WD40 it is a better penetrating fluid

Old topic but well, it's seems like its my turn now. Always got exhausts off by a bit of wiggling. Not this time.
Incredible these parts can be stuck on each other this hard.
Bad thing is, these are the Akra headers. The flanges are even thinner than the original ones. But still.

Don’t overtighten them on the Akra system as the flange bends easily.

It is like this. Pro: the headers itself are not in the way, plenty room to work. Con: I don't want to damage the flanges.
I borrowed a small welding machine. Steps I consider:
grind the studs off, flush with flanges
drill studs in flanges (don't look forward to this part, steel in alu flanges)
get flanges off
weld nut on what is left of the studs
get the studs out and replace with new.

Or weld nuts on immediately and hopefully get them out of the engine by just screwing them out, but including the corroded part in the flanges.

Any tips or advice?

As you have the room to work you could try a small ball joint puller like this, delicately
Slip a small socket over the stud that will give you a good seat for the puller shaft to locate onto.

I thought about that. Worthwhile to get one.

Got them off with the help of an acetylene torch.
One flange got a bit too hot.
Other one cracked, because of using too much force Im afraid.
But this will be fixed. And the studs etc. are undamaged.

Hey Robert, did you fit a sigma slipper clutch to your YEC 6 speed???
The shaft on mine differs slightly and takes a M18 nut not M20 plus the spline on the shaft is not as deep as the std trx shaft.
It means I need to machine 6 mm out of the back of the sigma centre to fit on the shaft.
The clutch centre on my 6 speed at present differs from the std trx centre too and has 6mm machined off with the rest to take the spline on the shaft.

Makes me wonder if it’s an Over 6 speed and clutch centre

Err. Yes, bought the sigma clutch from a chap from this forum.
Fitted on the tuned 6-gear engine without hassle.

That’s what I thought so confirms it’s an Over 6 speed gearbox and clutch centre in my motor.
It has the Cosworth pistons and what looks like Cosworth H beam rods similar to the Carrillo.
I’ve seen photos of kits with all these items for the TRX in Japan from TAIRA RACING CORP with these items and Gareth had an Over racing kitted TRX with the same items minus the 6 speed gearbox.
