Pulls badly from idle

Post by pipsovich » Thu Aug 18, 2016 7:52 pm

Hello!
I just recently got me a TRX - very nice bike.
I bought it in poor running condition. Tore down carbs, cleaned them and put in a new kit with jets and needle etc.
Also replaced a bad coil. Bike runs good now except for a slight hesitation when going from standstill, it feels like i have to get the rpms up a bit before taking off otherwise it almost does not pull at all.
Pilot screws were 2 turns out first, then i tried 3 turns out. Almost no difference.
Any ideas?

To me it sounds like a standard TRX
Check gearing and if a 17 in front go 16? Many many do...

Hehe, not at all impossible as the bike runs great otherwise, and ive never tried any other trx.
I was thinking about changing the gearing anyways so that might do it!

Float heights were at about 12 mm i think, did not touch these. I will check fuel level with a piece of hose.
