coils on plugs

Post by ac@39 » Sat Jun 04, 2016 8:02 am

Realise i'm asking a question about another bike so specifics may be missing but the general idea of what i've done - will it cause me more problems long term?

for a while now i've had an issue with bike running and have ( i think) traced issue to the rear plug/coil - i have monster s4r 2003-

i say i think - because i have been swapping things around and now have a set of coil plugs from what i believe is a gsxr1000 k4 - part number on coil is 129700 4400

original on bike was 129700 4201

i dont have much knowledge/understanding on how all these things work but there are some differences - basically i'm trying to find out if i will damage anything if i continue to use them long term. below i have listed what i think the specs old were and what the new are

129700 4201 - original - 1.6 ohm across the connectors at the top and 11.3 from the top connectors to the bottom

129700 4400 - replacement - 1.4 ohm across the connectors at the top and 13.0 from top to bottom
