Impeller bearing

Post by bane » Sat May 14, 2016 1:29 pm

Would anyone here know the part number or dimensions of the water pump impeller bearing? The bearing isn't sold separately as a trx or tdm item but im sure its interchangeable with other yamaha models.

cheers Bane.

Measure it with Verniers and simply go to a bearing supplier, bearings are made to standard sizes:

Cheers mate, all good. I was just being lazy and wanted to buy the bearing before removing the pump. Wrong diagnosis on my part though. What I thought was a noisy bearing turned out to be a dislodged circlip.

Ahaaa, that`s a bit less of a problem to sort then, but WHY had a circlip become dislodged?

No idea, I rebuilt the water pump nearly 2 years ago and haven't had a problem in all that time. Circlip replaced with a new one just in case. The impeller left a nice countersink in the pump housing.

Cheers.

I had the exact same thing happen

I should have pinched up the cir-clip before I put it back in
