That should be a small bung that sits ontop of the allen key bolt that just pops off with a blade or small screwdriver .. unless they have replaced the bolt down into the tripple tree with a domed headed bolt

Re: removing clip on bars
they have used a size 10 socket as a spacer so it could be anything but my guess is Cobba is right with the allen head cap thingcobbadiggabuddyblooo wrote:That should be a small bung that sits ontop of the allen key bolt that just pops off with a blade or small screwdriver .. unless they have replaced the bolt down into the tripple tree with a domed headed bolt

Yup - bingo. I cant believe it - the bars were raised by a 10mm socket.
Next problem is removing the ignition from the triple clamp.

Re: removing clip on bars
The ignition snap off or anti tamper bolts are removed by drilling the head of the bolts and then hammering a Phillips or a standard screw driver into the drilled hole, the bolt is actually low tensile steel and will form to the screwdriver shape easily with a good whack with the hammer....also there won't be any thread lock glue either,..so drill a hole, whack a screwdriver in there and turn anti clockwise.
If this doesn't work, just keep drilling until the bolt head spins off , do this to the two, drop the ign assy off and then use vice grips to turn the threaded stubs out...you can't re use the original bolts anyway.
