Post by Stv » Mon May 27, 2013 9:04 pm

Hi, Im Stv & a newbie to your site & in need of help concerning my TRX, Ive owned a 99 TRX for past 5yrs, I fitted early R1 blue spots to front which was an easy swap, I now want to fit a rear blue spot, as anyone fitted one to there rear & if so could you tell me off what model, also what about the calliper arm etc...standard or not, any info appreciated as it is now doing my nut in... #-o
Thanks Stv.

You would need to fit the R1 carrier from a 98-03 bike, a different spacer to take care of the offset & a machined bush for the difference in spindle size.

Hope this helps?

From memory the R1 carrier won't have a fitting for your torque arm. Again from memory, it's been a while since I looked at this conversion, you can use the carrier from an early Fazer1000/FZ1 which will accept the torque arm. It's a different blue spot though as the calipers mounting holes are a different spacing. Again, a bush will be needed to take care of spindle size and possibly and adjustment for alignment. If going down this road I think you can also use the set up off an XJR1300, same deal.
It must be true, I read it on the internet.

Hi guys a big thanks for your replies & usefull info which has definately been noted, As me & her indoors run the bike cafe @ Sheffield Motorcycle centre I have access to loads of bikes coming in & out of the shop & have even been caught stalking a number of customers bikes measuring up there callipers on fazor 1000's & XJR,s :D
After speaking to one of the techy's he reckons an 02/3 blue spot off fazor 600 will fit with exsisting calliper bracket & torque arm, lets see...? Going to be stalking Fazor 600 owners now :-k
Thanks again guys will keep u posted with this mission...Stv
