Hyperpro "Street Box"

Hello everyone

My 96 TRX suspension is a bit tired (70,000+ kms and previous owner and his wife who he would travel with were both over 90kg/14 stone)

From Hyperpro I found this "streetbox" kit:

Was wondering if anyone has bought one and if so what were the results?
From the website:
"The HYPERPRO STREETBOX! contains an emulsion shock with rebound adjustment, Hyperpro progressive front forksprings and oil, with specifications of the settings of the bike plus Stickers, a Manual and of course the STREETBOX!."
It costs about AU$733, Euro- 590, GB 470

Do you think it's good value?
I'm after best bang for my buck and leaning towards an R6 shock, and maybe progressive springs for the front.
Another idea was to have forks from another bike of some description (what is the most common or ideal used for this conversion?)
I'm aware that a lot of work is involved with this, but I have access to great minds and some CNC machinery.


I weigh about 75kg soaking wet and with my gear.
I've changed the oil in the forks when I first got it
Also have raised the back 20mm with shorter dogbones

Can't advise on the product but many here have gone down an R6 shock or else route and works wonders. (You can do a bit of a search for more info and feedback here)

It all depends on your expectations really. If you want a sharp track bike, go down the Hyperpro shock route but if not, R6 shock + adapter will defo be the best bang for buck I would say. Add some fork springs and drop the forks through the yokes a little and you'll have something fun to ride
