New discs

looking to replace brake discs with some armstrong wavey discs has anyone used them ? are they any good. I am using the yzf front end with gold spot calipers.

IME you get what you pay for with discs and trying to save a few quid for what is arguably the most important component on a bike is not a good idea.

Have a search around - you should find threads where this has been commented on before

FWIW though, i have read good and bad reports about Armstrong discs (much like Stealth and most other brands)

A shout out to those that might like to fit a different front which might have an old set of disc calipers..
When i fitted the six pot front calipers to my yzf set up . i noticed that the left side disc was binding..turned out that one of the caliper pistons was sticking...
Seeing that the origional discs were buggered..[didnt think as to why..duhh] and warped..went to Metalgear on the Brisbane north side and bought a new set of 320mm discs...
Fitted them and in no time..they warped...bugger....heat friction, and when i parked up..theyve set.
Now with the gold spots [nice and free spinning]..had to go and have them refurbished as they were giving a pulse feedback under slow braking...disscomforting.
Interesting thing was that i had to have both discs done as when the left side was under load and pulsing..the hydraulic feedback went over to the other disc as well...through the master...although not as bad
I fitted one of my perfect trx discs on the left to feel the yzf disc on the right..[both sizes will bolt on to the yzf hub , but the trx s are smaller]...and sure enough,a small right hand pulse.
Cost me 120 dollars and now have the brake pulse problem fixed....steep learning curve.

It`s a common problem with the six pots / 320mm discs combo too, well known for ferkin the discs after some `spirited` riding were the YZF750`s.
