Just letting people know what something strange I encountered.
The new Michelin Pilot Road 2 160/60-17 tyre's left chicken strip was rubbing in the hugger area, looks like the rear chain guard bolt needs a stand-off bracket.
Previous tyre was a Bridgestone BT-020 160/60-17 that seemed slightly narrower than the new Pilot Road 2 160 width.
The GCC hugger looks physically OK and meets up all bolt holes without problem. The only imperfection is a scratched resin on right side from a stick in the gravel fall by previous owner.
In the meantime of making the stand-off bracket, it's going to get a good clean from the lube and grime buildup on swingarm and inside of hugger.

Re: GCC carbon hugger/chain guard rubbing Pilot Road2 160/60-17
I had that trouble with the dunlop qualifier and D208. They were both wider than other tyres, they were 160 tyres but had a width of about 170mm which meant they were real close to the hugger.
I tried to find out why they are all different widths but i was unable to get any answers. You would expect a 160 to be 160mm wide but they arent, Some are, Pirellis seem to be correct.
