Is it time to replace?

Post by Wombat » Mon May 11, 2009 6:59 am

Just looked in my log and noticed that I got my Ohlins springs for the front end in June 2004. Would it be time to replace them as I seem to be pogo-ing around corners (tyre pressures seem ok)?

Maybe time to change the fork oil rather than the springs?

Yeah I think it would be good to replace your springs - it sounds like that's your problem (don't listen to Kayla)...I would be happy to take these used and very past their used-by-date springs off your hands
Understeer - when you hit the fence with the front of the bike.
Oversteer - when you hit the fence with the rear of the bike.
Horsepower - how fast you hit the fence.
Torque - how far you take the fence with you.

Bob,
Time is a bit irrelevant, its the Km's you've put on the bike since then that matter.

Bike's going in for it's 72,000km service soon so I'll just get them to change the oil then.
Stupid design flaw in the forks. Even my old Guzzi had drain plugs!
