16t front sprocket (again)

I have searched before you say anything & it would seem that plenty of you have fitted a 16 tooth front sprocket to your TRX with no bother yes ? My chain is too long to take out the slack on the adjusters so I'm guessing it's stretched & time for a new one.

Front 17t looks a little worn even with my dodgy eyesight but back looks ok. I'm after a bit more acceleration from stand still & thought a 16T front would be a quick & easy fix.

Can I buy a chain on its own as my rear sprocket is ok ?

Try B & C Express: they'll do you want you like. Chains (tsubaki are good) and sprockets, front and rear.
Or take a link out your chain.

For the Â£20 it costs my advice would be to change the chanin and sprockets as a set

As an alternative to 16 39 you could also go 17 42

I was considering the removal of a link but I aint got a link extractor & thought it was a bit of a bodge ?

17/42 is what i run ,, it keeps the chain a bit further away from the slipper on the swing arm

cheapest option is to take a link out, but get it done by someone else (ballache taking chain off, but cheapest option) but...

...DON'T BODGE IT! Dont bodge anything to do with chains. I have a mate with a hole in his calf on his left leg from 'bodging' a chain that then gave way at 70!!

plus there is a real risk of smashing the engine to bits if it snaps
