Switch mode for TPS mod
I found that when you do the TPS mod with the ignition at full advance the engine was not very smooth under 4000 rpm but made a noticable difference above 4000 rpm as well as moving the rev limit up, so I thought it would be a good thing to have or not to have TPS by the way of a switch, so I used a relay to switch between the TPS mod, the power source for the relay comes from the high beam globe, so when on low beam the TPS is working as normal and when you switch to high beam you have the TPS mod, I also put an on/off switch in the power from the high beam so when you need to use your lights you are not switching between the TPS mod with the high/low switch. I have a photo and wiring diagram but not sure how to put them on.

would you believe ive already thought of doing it but havnt finish anything off as yet.. My aim was to have it switching via an automated circuit of sorts..
Basically im gonna buy a kit from jaycar (local electronic kit store) that has kits for just about anything.. Im gonna rig up a sensor (input) to a sparkplug and have the output to handle the TPS mod (output)..
So when enough ticks (rpm) is achieved it changes the state of the TPS.. Its actually a very simple circuit and about the size of a matchbox (think redhead matches for us aussies). To tune it ill just have a small trimpot (think volume dial knob thing) and adjust it on a dyno to suit.. once its set, tuck it away and forget about it..
But yer,, obviously those who know me know i need to do a few other things 1st !!... but ill get there sooner or later..
like the dip switch option.. very "ghetto"

I wasn't going to reply to this but ....
I really wouldn't bother with the TPS mod. The difference is less than 2bhp at max revs (I have dyno proof of this) and, as has been said, affects the bike at low revs and partial throttle openings. And the extra 500 rpm limit is worthless except on the track.
I leave mine standard for the road and only use the TPS mod on the track.
And, whereas I don't know of anyone having any problems, no one can actually prove that this is a safe mod to leave on the bike permanently (although I can see of no reason why it wouldn't be)
