"Emergency", part 2, new part needed

Post by HansJ » Wed May 09, 2007 12:33 pm

I am a liberal bloke, that has a lot of empathy for people having had a bad childhood and so on, but slowly I am thinking of rigging a trap, borrowing a snipergun, and shoot the mofos that do car break-ins...

Another of the parts that was stolen, the oil-pipe coming in from the rear of the oil-tank is missing, and I ordered one from the local Yamaha-dealer. I now got the message it will take another 2 weeks before it turns up. That spoils all my planning (putting engine together, dyno, run-in, oil-and filter change before the 7th June...) Any chance that anyone out there might have a spare one, that I could buy?

And if someone could check if it would be possible to fit this part withy the engine in place? From memory the pipe is almost 10 cms long...

An alternative would be if someone could lend me this part, and then I'll send my brand-new as soon as it turns up.

LOL
So, Colin, when are You coming to Stockholm? ;)
Seriously, if You help me out this much, I definitely have to compensate You somehow! And as I said, I will get the pipe around the 25th, and can send it back to You!
Thanks a lot again, isn't internet a great invention?

Colin, this is the pipe I mean. I don't need the rubber pipe that goes down to the other connector by the oilpump/filter unit, it's only the metal pipe I need.
Cheers,
Hans
