float level height
hi, can any one confirm that the float level height is 14mm from the carb bowl surface edge to the top of the float, just touching the needle valve

Re: float level height
If you have the carbs fitted the factory spec is 4.6 to 5.6 mm below the mark on the outside of the carb body.
See pg 6.5 of the service manual.
See pg 6.5 of the service manual.

Re: float level height
what i mean is the carbs are on the bench at a angel, carb bowls are off, measuring from the carb edge to the highest point of the float using a float gauge, is the gauge to be set at 14mm.

Re: float level height
Hi marky19!!
A member of the German forum had posted a quite lengthy text with pictures, how to measure the float hight if adjusted correctly according to the method in the manual.
When held in the correct position, i.e., the floats are just touching the float needle without pushing it, he measured a float hight on the smaller float of 9 mm.
I could post the link to this post here, but you have to register and it's all in German.
