Recomendations for Carb service/repair kits

Post by dicky » Wed Oct 07, 2015 4:00 am

It seems that our beloved TRX is now getting old enough to suffer carb seal problems, particularly for those of us who have no choice but to use ethanol contaminated fuel.
Viton seal kits for BDST's are available from Blair in Thailand at a very good price.
Keyster kits which include some jets and float needle are also available from various resellers.
6Sigma in the US also produce a kit for the TRX but I'm not aware of what this actually contains.

Any suggestions on who has the best prices and service for Keyster?
Anyone have details of the 6Sigma kit?

I'll make this a sticky if we get some good information.

In Australia I would just stick to making sure you have no ethanol in your fuel, safest bet is to go with 95Ron

That negates the need for the viton kits.

Keysters kits are proven quality and locally I reckon this place is the best place to get them:

you can get the full carb kit for $45 per carb or the o-rings and float valves for $25 per carb

Kedo in Germany also sell parts and kits for the TRX carbs.
They also sell the air-cut valve cover which is beginning to fail in Australia due to the UV exposure.
