Marty, that would be a little unfair on Ian from Twig. Honestly mate, its not that dear for the quality and work the guy has put into it. Look him up he is a very helpfull guy, and lets face it all the hard shitty work has already been done by him.

Yeh I see where you are coming from! On the flip side he prolly copied someone elses design in the making of his. If you apply that logic no one would ever make or sell race glass unless it was OEM.

Well , I am happy to announce that last night saw me actually put something back on the bike, so this would indicate I am in the assembly stage. I have squirted the engine with some black engine enamel and I have decided to go the Black/ silver theme. In this pic I have bolted the intake manifolds, and the alt cover plugs, back onto the engine!

Start with a timber mock up with lots of bog and a spoke shave.

a stainless engine bolt upgrade kit would look like a Triumph Speed Tripple motor ...nice..!

Yes Alex, I have gone the cheaper route by getting the bolts re-zinc plated. That is why the engine covers have no bolts in them

This part of the process is slow now, as I have to wait for other outside people to get things done. Today I got my Frame and tappet cover back from the powder coaters after crawling in their begging for them to get it completed. Still awaiting all of the bolts from the zinc guys now to bolt it together!!

Thanks Marty. I got 90% of my stuff back from the Zinc platers today, so I can at least start bolting a few things back together

Clutch cover bolts and the right side rear set bolted up. Found some motocross fuel drain hose in the garage, but it maybe a bit much.

I like the powder coating, how hard wearing is it and how expensive is a frame? Also how suitable on an engine? Don't much like the green plastic pipes

I must agree, the blue hoses look nice but junk the yellowy green ones!

Yeh, you are right guys the Dirt bike breather hoses are going straight into the bin!! Frame powder coat cost $80
