As i was warned by Kev849, the TRX steering stem makes a big BANG..pressing it out of the TRX lower tripple....and it sure did, the reason is that the machining is coarse and ribbed so it will bite into the softer alloy of the lower tripple and believe me NOT easy to press out.
I left the spring circlip in place at the base to know when to stop in fitting the stem back into the YZF lower.
It was a sweet fit...that and a set of steering head bearings, perfect.

b'gger so I would need to sleeve the bottom yoke as my R1 yokes are 50mm / 50mm? On a plus yokes are far cheaper than R1 2nd generation with the same offset - found a set on E Bat quite reasonable price
