The new R1 / R6s have a radial m/c right? Would they be compatible with normal "old fashioned" BlueSpots? If so, it'd be a cheap way of getting a radial setup, via the wreckers, of course.

There's no obvious reason why you can't use any mc with any brake lines with any calipers

Nobody's going to believe me but...
Tetsu put a R1 "Radial" on his old ZXR750R... Tossed it a few weeks later for the real deal...

I can well believe that - the OEM shite they churn out is nowhere near as good as the proper after market stuff.
I know that is the case with the Ohlins badged Yamaha stuff versus proper Ohlins.
The homologation ZXR750RR from 1992 (H1 I think) is still one of the bikes on my lust list.

Yeah, I forgot the extra "R"... That's his, with the aluminum tank, FCRs and single seat.

Yeah, that's the one!
Remember seeing a red, white and green Bol D'Or special based on Yamaha France 24hr bike in 1992 and thinking "I'm gonna own me one of them some day". Never have yet!

Very true ^^^^^
Have seen a chap on ebay selling brembo mc in any size wanted for $200 US which with postage comes to about £130 (way less than an R1 mc from a UK breaker)

19X20, which turned out to be perfect with my 'standard' brembos...
If you're using blue spots (or black spots) you might want to check what they recommend for those (probably 19X18).
It's the 'GP Forged' type, not billet so it's not 'that' expensive and IMHO the single best improvement you can make to the bike, especially if you ride on the track. Everyone that rides mine gets off and stares at the brake, scratching their head.
I swear, I can feel it when I run over an ant when braking.

Hey Cheesie,
I'll be selling one of those if you're interested - 19x18 best for road use apparently. Just fecking bought it last week, along with a new unfitted HEL brakeline switch unit and converter for conventional brake hoses. PM me if you want details.
Financial difficulties are forcing me to abandon all projects, including selling my beloved TRX and Bandit 1200
It's my own fault for going to Uni at the ripe old age of 39, but no work = no money coming in. I'll be hanging on to my 350LC, tho, as the numberplate alone is worth ridiculous money

1996 vintage now sold. 1999 FZS600 Fazer, 2006 YBR125 & 1981 RD350LC left to keep me entertained.
