TDM 99 uses different parts for shift cam and stopper lever.
The early TDM 3VD uses the same shift cam as the TRX but a different stopper lever.
I don't have any info for the pre 99 270 TDM.
So it's worth asking FP what years their kit fits.

Sorry, haven't been on site for a while, yes I have a kit fitted and if memory serves me well it was the one that fitted the R1. I could look for the info if any one is interested. I did post a how to on the old website.
The kit made the shift more positive, slightly quicker but also firmer as the spring is stronger so be prepared to use more foot pressure if you fit one - you wouldn't want to ride round in sneakers if you get what I mean!
Reason for change - bike pissed me off something awful with missed 1-2 upshifts when I first got it as I found the whole plot fairly agricultural after my previous bike - Suzuki GSXF.

I have the nasty 1 to 2 shift KLONK....and then missed between 4 - 5 sometimes and an annoying neutral between 4-5.
I can get all factory part kinda cheapo here in Sweden but need to know what fits!

According to the info I have the kit Marc supplied me back in June 2006 was called the SHIFT-PRO-YAM-4 which consisted of the spring and the detent arm. The spring is stronger than the original one and the detent arm has a ball bearing race fitted inside the wheel on the end of it instead of just a plain bearing. Hope this helps! I thought I had the box it came in but that got thrown out in the big garage clean out of 2007!
As far as fitting it is concerned, you need to remove the clutch and the alternator covers as there is a circlip on the shift shaft that has to be removed to be able to fit the new parts and to get at this the alternator cover has to come off. So you may want to invest in a new alternator cover gasket.
Other than the above, because the new spring is very strong it takes some muscle and patience to get it into place.
Nothing like a fast take off and a missed one-two shift with another bike right behind you to encourage the fitting of the kit
