sv 650 mirrors - does anyone have a picture?

My idea 2 Dave

, but first I want to check some different positions (or possiblilities) when sitting on my bike. Then I can buy different mirrors and see which ones are the best

Or I could place an all digital display which shows my 'rearview' thÃƒÆ’Ã‚Â¡t's really P.I.M.P

There was a helmet that has a mirror built in, or was it a camera? Can't remember now.

There are an italian helmet with a mirror system wich makes you look backwards!

And if you read through - you have to have your head in the "perfect" position to be able to see - so if your riding position is wrong you'll just see the sky!!

So you need a neckbrace to hold it (for a) steady (shot)

Today I removed the mirrors (this time not for track use

) and I could use them as a concept on to where to position other mirrors on the inside of the fairing.

The best position is just beside the headlight, left and right, against the fairing. The image is then mostly between my middle and knees, but enough to see someone comming up behind me or next to me.

All I have to find know are some small mirrors... so I'll be shopping soon...

It's amazing what a difference having mirrors make, isn't it?

I took a NC30 out during TT - but this is not your bog standard VFR - it's a pure track bike; fibreglass bodywork with decals, no lights or indicators, etc...and no mirrors.

Now added to the fact that mirrors or not you need eyes in the back of your head to ride the roads here during the TT, it's a really strange feeling not having the mirrors and having to physically check behind all the time. My sense of hearing in particular seemed to be heightened, as I was listening for bikes behind when I couldn't look.

It was utter fun though! :nakedbike:

Although I think I'll definitely stick with mirrors - even if all I can see are my elbows!

None of my bikes have mirrors fitted - although I do have a small bar end mirror that I use for riding abroad so I can see the rest of the group with me.

I have looked at fitting a camera to an lcd screen - easy enough. A switched live feed to the camera and screen is easy enough - the only problem is finding a sensibly priced waterproof screen. I'll do it when I fit my (planned) new dash.

Maybe I'll do what I used to with cheap digital watches and superglue it waterproof

phuk could you connect the feed to one of those garmin GPS units they are waterproof.
