Need help

Post by Lars Johnny » Sat Mar 29, 2014 10:40 pm

Hello
I tried to change the clutch cover on my Trx, after that I dont have a clutch respons at all. I needed to change this because of a small oil leak.

What to do now? I can not ride with out a clutch :P

Help, or tips or pointers :?:

Could it be that the punch mark on the shaft arm does not line up with the align mark on the case, with the slack taken up? (If that makes sense)

No it dont think so. I tried all the trics in the service manual from Haynes. It all lines up nice when I fit it. But when I try the clutch there is no response....

When you say 'no response', do you mean the lever is totally hard or totally slack, or does it feel like the lever is actuating the clutch but you just can't shift gear?

Wouldn't it be a bugger if the cable wasn't connected..!
Shouldn't be an issue to it I'd be thinking,..fitted new clutch to my first motor a while ago,..can't remember any red flags, is all.

All the plates in the correct amount and order ?
Clutch springs all in correctly with correct washers?
No thrust washers missing ?
I WOULD RATHER WEAR OUT THAN RUST

Hi

Now it is sorted out. The spring on the New old clutch cover was weaker than the old one. So I canged it to the old one. an that sorted it. The spring and the alined dots on the shaft were not the same on the two covers.

But it works, so now the next thing to sort out is the front forks :)
