Re: slippery lubricant !!!
After changing to semi-synthetic oil (Valvoline) my trx hardly use any oil during the season.

Re: slippery lubricant !!!
IMO, anything which has the minimum rating required as per the manual and change it (and the filter) at the recommended interval. Esp. at 3,000 miles a year, I suspect the bike will be a pile of rust and we'll have run out of oil before your choice of lubricant will make any difference. No oil or old oil might conceivably cause a problem though.heanoid wrote:need some shared knowledge on what type i.e 10-40 etc and what make is best for my 20,000 mile gently ridden trx, synthetic or mineral halfords own etc or top brand , it will only probably do about 3000 this year ..thanks
I typically use halfords synthetic. Works fine, not too expensive, comes in the squirty bottle for top ups on the move. Well, not actually while moving but you get the idea.
