Is this for bling or are seriously afraid of your oil getting too hot? :?

:D well a bit of both really :!: :!: thought it might help stabilise the oil temperature at hi motorway speeds, do ya know if it's ever been done ??

I think the Tadahiko Taira / Christian Sarron Suzuka special had one on it... But I really don't think you need one. The TRX is not a hot runner and with 4+ litres of the stuff swirling around in there with that huge tub on the back I doubt if a little oil cooler would make much of a difference.

If you still want the bling, save yourself the trouble and just loop the hoses together in a blind spot.

Why do you think there is a problem with oil temperature?

Tis is a modernish motor. Is well capable of sustained revs.

A cooler is a waste of time, effort and money IMO.

So I assume U allready measured the oiltemp at hi revs and motorways?

What was the temp.

Sorry wicky, didn't mean to start a gang bang on yah!

As stated, there really isn't a need for it and IMHO it would just be another place to trap sludge (as if the TRX doesn't have enough already). Let alone the headache of maintenance, fudging around with unnecessary tubes and getting your hands dirty.

Now if you really want bling, try drilling out your rectifier and convince everyone you saved a ton of weight while increasing the cooling surface area.

try drilling out your rectifier
.... ouch, that's gotta hurt!!

I think the oil cooler thing comes under the "because I can" and "anything's possible" headings which I'm all for!

The Sarron Marlboro Suzuka bike had one, only one I've ever seen fitted.

KEDO recommend oilcooler when going 878cc...
Even if they prolly recommend so they can sell...looking at how hot MY bike gets when driving in town with traffic lights in the summer i wouldn´t want to know how fast it would boil with a 878 kit....
