These are for all weather riding not just for sunny day fun so whats your opinions please I know its been done to death but please help

Used Pilot Powers front and rear and thought they were great until I tried Supercorsa's (SC1 and SC2).

Now I am a total Pirelli convert.

I hardly ever ride in the wet though and don't give a damn how fast they wear or what they cost as I don't do that many road miles.

being the round peg in a square hole kind of guy, i run soft front/firm rear combos on all my bikes 'cept the little virago.
On red rex i have power pure front and pilot road II rear.
On the tdm9er i have sportsmart front and roadsmart rear.
On miss blackie trx i run sportsmart front and roadsmart II on the back
Seems to work for me and i dont get a square rear tyre so soon

Well I took the plunge and ordered the Dunlop D209's in the end I hope they are ok in the wet as I ride all year round.

What about Sport Touring tyres?

They give good grip wet or dry, as well as excellent range.

Bridgestone BT-023's
Michelin Pilot Road 2 or 3
Avon Storm 2 Ultra's
etc...

I know this is a bit late but..........

The general consensus with people I know on the Pilot powers is "grip, grip, grip, grip, hospital".

I get roughly 10K out of a set of tyres before they're completely shagged
I've used (in this order after the Macadams wore out) in the standard sizes except a 70 profile front on the Pilot sport:

Pilot Sport front / Road rear: (34-36 psi front / 40 rear / forks dropped 15mm through tripples)
felt good, then one day had no feel (pretty well worn).

Bridgestone 012 front / 020 rear: (34-36 psi front / 40 rear / forks dropped 15mm through tripples)
felt good, then one day had no feel (still had a fair bit of tread left).

Continental Sport Attack 1 front / Road Attack 1 rear: (37-38 psi front / 40-42 rear / front end raised back to standard due to neck issue)
Recomende by a mate with a local tyre shop. I was a bit iffy as I hadn't heard of them but he swore they were brilliant and was running them on his ZX10. Turned out to be the best tyres I'd used.
Loved them to death. Friends asked where my extra corner pace had come from. brilliant in all weather.

Dunlop Q2 front / Roadsmart rear: (tried various pressures / standard height front end)
Had the rear fitted first. Conti' Front still wanted to turn but the rear took some getting used to (then was ok).
Fitted Q2: Couldn't come to terms with the front. It didn't do anything wrong but I couldn't feel it. Q2 only started to feel '1/2 ok' once I'd worn it below the treadwear indicators & by then it was shagged totally.

Continental Sport Attack 2 front & rear (current tyres - 36-38 psi front / 40-42 rear / standard height front end):
Love them even more than the attack 1's.
No breaking in except for getting them up to temp first time (they reckon due to their new mould -release system there's no wax on the tyre- and it shows).
On the first ride out, friends commented that they hadn't seen me ride like that for a very long time and asked why I was suddenly so much quicker in the corners (pulled away from them for a change).
Great in all weather for both grip & feel, wear fairly well and also comfortable and stable on long highway runs (Brisbane to Sydney & back).

I'll be staying with the Conti's unless someone can 'prove' there's a better tyre to use.
