anyone tried the dunlop roadsmart,,,, michelin pilot power 2ct ,,, or the dunlop qualifier RR,, i would interested in you views if you have used them

I think its Roadsmart (triple compound?) that MCN and Bike mags said were the best, and that supersport tyres were now a waste of time unless you are purely a trackday rider. They reckoned good warm-up, excellent grip in dry or wet, and good mileage. Even ok on track too.

i'll be going with 2CTs, they are a more sports biased version of the excellent PR2s

after seeing what you did to the dunlop i stole from you i am happy to take your advice , i have already done loads of research on this and it came down to these three , i couldn't find much about the pirelli rosso , but every bike tester is raving about the dunlop roadsmart ,, thanks dave

I had a 2CT on my Duke and it worked very well. Not sure it was worth the money though. Metzeler/Pirelli (Diablo, M1 or M3) are cheaper and worked just as well for my purposes.

With bout 10,000km (sports compound)out of the michelin's and just a hint of a squiggily line in the centre and starting to flatten there still holding on well still with good feel have never broke away from me as such( always a suttle slide) and got around 12,000km from the duel compound version last set. I think when i change tyres again in a few weeks I'll be quite happy to stick( )to my pilots powers.

My TRX had michelin pilot power 2ct on it when I bought it.
Great tyres but I just could see them wear out, especially with (inevitable) highway use.
My next (rear) tyre will be a michelin pilot road 2. I think/hope it will last longer.

cobbadiggabuddyblooo, you are talking about 10.000 km's... was that with pilot power? Or pilot road?

have a look at the dunlop roadsmart all the testers say its a better choice , compaired to the michelin road 2ct

Are they dual compound? The TRX is basically a commuter bike for me, and wearing down the centers constantly is a bit of a pain. And expensive...

A mate of mine had 2cts on his Thunderace and took them off after 500 miles - he said they were shit in the wet and he kept spinning the rear

I have the pilot powers on now with just on 10,000km and previous was with the pilot road which is the dual compound version from memory and got a good 12,000km and quite happy with prob a little more tread left than what I have on this time. As for wet weather.. Now tell me what tyre you aren't going to spin without a little throttle control

the rear is dual compond but the front is not on the roadsmarts

pretty sure he went back to BT021s

I have the Roadsmart on the front and am just about to put the Same on the rear. It's pretty good and feels good in the rain. Hard braking it tracks straight.
