:? Why, isn't it nimble enough for you?, If the wheel is made for a 160 why put a smaller tyre on it. Also check out superbikes, they all have 180's. Is that telling you something.

im looking for input opinions and genrel info, basically im thinking of trying it and seeing how it feels.
For most superbikes a 180 or 190 on the road is wider than is required unless people are just going to the local knee down point.
IMO people like the look of big fat tyres and they as such sell well on the track its a diffrent story but most people i see with nice big wide tyres dont use the last 10-20% of there tyres on the road as such why not look at making it work better on the road (if the tyre option ive suggested would do so)?

ive no desire to screw up the handling of the bike but if fitting a slightly narrower tyre to the rims would make it respond better then why not? I got rid the 170 that was on the rear when i got the bike and the 160 felt much better hence how far is to far ? has anyone tried it or are we all just sheep doing what everyone else does ?

:D To be honest, the original sizes worked fine for me. I admit that I dont get my knee down on the open road, as there is no need, and that I dont use the outer 10% of the tyre either. However I would have thought that stretching a tyre over a wheel that it wasnt made for would give odd results, and you still wouldnt use the outer 10%.

Rims are too wide for 110/150. You'd need a 3" front and 4.5" max rear....
