tyres

Post by brush » Sun Dec 09, 2007 8:32 am

went for a ride today, beaut day but a little hot, anyway got home, sittin around havein a couple a beers and noticed a cut in the centre of my rear tyre. doesnt go right through but is nearly as deep as the tread, about the width of 10mm screwdriver, michelin pilot road 2 thats only done 2000ks. is there anything i can put in it to stop anything else piercing it, or dont worry about it, or scrap the tyre .cheers BRUSH.

I'm sure you don't want to hear this but I'd suggest you throw it away.

It's one of these "what price is your life" questions.

It may be fine

and it may blow out just as ..............

im sorry to say i feel the same as phuk here.. Sure you wanna get more km from the tyre.. but do you want it to blow out on you while your in a rush to get home one night ?

1: get a mate with a video recorder
2: get enough money to replace the tyre
3: do a monster burnout and video it
4: post the footage for us to watch
5: buy new tyre with money from point 2
