Had a Metzeler fitted to the rear on Thursday.

All is well in the world again!!!
Forks can stay where they are.

Apparently French (Michelins) and Germans (Metzelers) cannot get along. :D :D :D

Just walked out and looked at the Metzelers on the Suzuki in my garage. Written boldly on the firewall are the words "Made in Germany". Pirelli own the Metzeler tyre brand and make the premium radials in the same factory.
Metzeler and Pirelli do however make commuter bike crossplys in Brazil.

BTW the Michelin Pilot Roads on my TRX were made in Spain

I take that back then.

Obviously I was mis-advised.

I was aware that Pirelli own both brands though.

I'm told you can mix Metzeler and Pirelli tyres on a bike, so long as you mix the right ones - apparrently. (Not that I would TBH)
