Hi guys, seen lots of people mentioning yzf750 front end swops, is it a straight bolt in? are they shorter/affect steering geometry?
what else gets used & is relatively easy to do, R6 R1??

noticed also yzf rear end swops seem popular, is the trx bad then? also thunder ace, what are the benefits of either?

sorry to be basic but got to start somewhere with the big project!!
café racer on wires!! hve fornt rim 3" with transalp hub ( yet to check ease of fit!) looking at 5.5"rear will it fit in trx swinger?? or will I have to go to yzf/thunderace?

The YZF front USD cis the easiest to fit, just change the steering stem...and use the 70 series front rubber..
We go the YZF rear and the thunder ace rear to have the 5.5 inch rear hoop...not much really wrong to the original rear set up where you can use a 170 rear if you want.
Type in to the SEARCH option in all of the topic rooms...ALLLLLLL the info and pictures are there...most have been done in the last couple of years...but believe me...it's been done here.

Yzf750 has the same offsett and height as std trx. It allows you to retain the original gauges as it uses the same speedo drive. Just accommodate for 6kph faster per 100kph if using a 70 series tyre as the trx are calibrated for a smaller 60 series. Ditch the 6 pot calipers

Check the XT600, XTZ660, XTZ750 (front and rear) The main issue you will have is clearance for the back side of the calliper hitting the wires, this may dictate you using a calliper that has not rear pistons.

Agree with the chaps, its a piece of cake but the only way you'll know what's what is by looking through what everyone else has done on here
