Simple Rear end Conversion.

Post by ABGogs » Wed Nov 13, 2013 7:17 pm

Hi guys,

I bought a TRX850 a few months back now, with the aim of making a street-fighter out of it.

I am happy with what I'm doing at the front end. But the rear end is.. well ugly to say the least. I have seen lots of posts on here about custom seat units, but they are all so old the pictures have been taken down.

Most importunately I want to fit a custom seat, without taking a saw to the rear sub frame at all. I want to leave the bike in a condition where all work could be reversed if and when I come to sell it.

Can anybody help?

Cheers

Leave it standard? Everything else pretty much needs the subframe cutting and shutting and FFS don't do this-

He could be riding so fast that he's bending space time & catching up with himself from behind... Probably not on a TRX though :P

I LIKE the stock TRX rear end it`s period and right for the bike. I`m gonna be having an alloy copy-ish of a single seat made for my fighter.
I can`t view Kayla`s Ebay link further in the thread but I`m guessing it`s of a `shorty`?
Well I buck the trend there too because again I like those, a good rally hack TRX with a sturdy rack built on it for the tent n bed roll, especially if it`s got a hot motor would be a tad lighter and give some of the plastic rocket pilots and would be (in their own minds) good TRX riders a damn good run for their money too. Especially with me on it!

Has anyone got any pics of this? I am tempted with the idea

Also, the pic posted of the custom rear plastics... Are they still available?

I have to agree if its a choice between that and the stock plastics - stay stock!
