What happened to the trx engined dirt bike you had a while back Bob ?

Again, I think that was Homer who had the TRX engine dirtbike, though I do have a hankering for an XTZ750.
Well, pipes are on yesterday after I did a punishing overtime at work (anyone in Sydney know the Fig hedge at Sydney Uni - Parramatta Rd. The damn thing is about a km long!). The burble is nice and the bark even nicer, though as Davamb said I'll get myself a set of DB Killers pretty soon.
Took it for a shakedown run this morning in the wet. Whoooaaaaa! Really nice, freer acceleration and no popping or farting on the overrun. No flat spot either, mid RPM. I'm a very happy Wombat

Excellent systems from Megacycle, another old dog who's been building performance systems for nearly 40 yrs. I just had another can made a couple of mths ago to order for my system.

Don't bother with the DB killers. I have Megacycle pipes on mine and DB killers don't do much. just enjoy the noise.
Your neighbours will get used to it.

when you order your pipes you can specify the internal bore diameter, either 50,55 or 57mm.. Yer the DB killer/teastrainers do little for the noise .. With it in on the dyno I found a rather dramatic drop in power either side of 3,000rpm but an increase of 1hp at peak, so well worth leaving them out performance wise. You'll use that 5hp lower/mid range power moreso that 1hp at 7,600 rpm..

Yeah Cobba, the midrange now between 3 - 5K is really healthy and it spins up a lot quicker. Totally amazed how restrictive the std system was.
