Cost of blue spots?

Post by Heelander » Fri Oct 04, 2013 8:36 pm

Can someone give me a quick steer? I want to upgrade the brakes (having dropped the front through the forks by a few mm which has made a nice difference to the turn in).

So....can I just go for any model of R6 blue spot calipers? And are they indeed off the R6?

Also, what sort of price should they go for on say Evilbay (UK)? They seem to vary from £30 to £60 per side...?

Thanks.

Blue spot, gold spot, silver spot, blue with silver inside spot... All the same and off various Yamaha's of the late 90/early 2000! Price wise for a pair should be between £60 & £80 depending on condition ;)

Straight bolt on mod but best if you get the r6/r1 m/c that goes with them & some braided lines whilst you are at it! ;)

That is not quiet correct: The "blue with silver inside" spots have an external connecting pipe from left to right brake pistons :P

But yeah...all the same and I wouldn't spend more than a 100 € or make it 85 GBP for good ones.

In fact I have some of the R6 blue spots with some marks leaving Germany for 50 GBP excl. postage :!:
