Well, usually it´s not a good idea to squezee a bigger donut onto a smaller sized rim.
But now i´ve read many stories of people doing just that and saying that it´s the best setup they´ve tried.
I´ve always used the Q2´s as they are just amazing, even if rear profile is quite flat. When on the edge of back you still have a good 15mm chicken stripe on the front. Makes me think when pressing in a 190 tyre the rear match the front better.
Question: Anyone in here who tried the setup??

I run a 170 pilot power on the rear and a Dunlop gpa 170 rear for trackdays and they both have the same shape. There not peakie in the centre like some other sports tyres and have a good roundness to them and don't tend to flat spot the centres after a few 1000 Km's .. Nigel felt a lot more confident on a pair of pilot powers I sold him too with a 170 rear and noticed he could go further on his chicken strips.

I'm running 180 on a standard rim. It definitely pulls the shape a bit. I'm still 6mm from the edge of the lip on the road. Will be interesting to see if it's any different on the track. If not, I'll go back to the 170 until I get a wider rim setup on there. The bike handles is superbly (ask the guy on the 749 a few weeks back

) but on the road, the tyre is just not getting full use.
