Re: Oil Pressure Gauage
Oil gauge is almost the same size as the complete vapor dashboard
Nice to see the pressure goes up immediately with revving the engine.
The measering unit sticks out of the engine quite a bit, are you not afraid that it will break eventually because of vibration?

Ha yeh it is certainly visible ...... Ive had a good look at the measuring unit mount ...... its a M10 thread into the filter housing so quite robust ...... the overall length is only 70mm ( looks longer I know ) and the sender only weighs a couple of ounces so Im pretty sure well be okTarwetijger wrote:Oil gauge is almost the same size as the complete vapor dashboard![]()

Re: Oil Pressure Gauage
Interesting to see by your video that the oil pressure at low RPM is three quarters of that at much at higher RPM.
Reassuring
Do you know if the readout is in psi.?
Good to see the reading there at the input side of the filter too...

Yes its Psi ......... I dont know what the oil pressure should be but looking at average readings on the net 60 - 70 psi at 3000 rpm up is ok ....... and tick over above 20 is considered acceptable
All the gauge can tell us is that the major components are serviceable and is probably a good check to do on a 2nd hand or freshly rebuilt engine to judge the condition ........
Im happy with mine ....... giving it stick I can get 80 psi , now I need to do another for comparison
